This newsletter introduces SHARP-sCO2, a pioneering project aimed at transforming solar energy into electricity. SHARP-sCO2, or Solar Hybrid Air Receiver/Particle Receiver for Concentrated Solar Power, focuses on developing an integrated system for efficient solar-to-electricity conversion. Key objectives of the project include reducing the levelized cost of electricity through innovative air-driven CSP cycles hybridized with PV technology. The project progresses through virtual emulation and physical testing phases across partner labs in Spain, Sweden, and Germany, aiming for harmonized validation despite distributed testing constraints.
